Today was a bit different. I woke up with a scratchy throat, so have been isolating from the team just in case. This meant no training or game for me today. Instead I did light stretching and glute strength work while watching Critical Role in the cinema setup here. Not too shabby. Another positive: all tests have been negative so far, which I thank God with all my heart for.
The team went out with a point to prove today… and boy did they ever prove it! An exceptional defensive performance led to a convincing win.
Warmup game 3 is tomorrow, which is a big one for me if I can play. I was not able to play Chicago Machine in 2018 for reasons beyond my control, and this hurt a lot. If I keep testing negative for Covid, I’ll be able to join the team and hopefully bring my own brand of awesome to the game.
Please pray for me friends, and the team, and for one flight in particular to be able to depart Wellington. (A teammate and good friend trying to get on their way to Chicago.)
I have eaten, and had lots of water, and will now sleep.
Peace to you all, my friends.
Hamish, my prayers are with you my friend! Itβs so good to βseeβ you! πππ

Thank you to you also, my friend. It is difficult not to think of every little symptom as, “This is it, this is definitely Covid.”.
I hope you and your family are well, and I pray for a beautiful week for you all! π§‘π§‘π§‘

Thank you, Hamish. I have to share that Covid was actually a βgiftβ to me. I had both immunizations, no booster. My immune was down. Covid reared its ugly head~and because of it, my cancer was found. Itβs ironic to say the least! Godβs hand is in everything my friend! He HAS YOU! πππ
