My apologies, dear readers, for the delay in this post. My mind has been preoccupied with finding a new place to live, and a job to pay for this new living. I hope you have all been well and continue to work towards completing the projects that light a fire in your soul and empower the passion in your heart.
Today I provide a poem. One that signifies the importance of my family to me. I understand that these ties of blood are not the same for everyone. Give righteousness and hope to all those you know, all those you meet, and all those whom have yet to grace your presence. God bless you, and peace be with you on your journey.
Ties that bind
Strong family is held together by many things
Not least of these the ties of blood
Hope springs wherever firm ground is found
Rejoicing in the journey to return home
A mother so caring she wields love in spades
We all dig to find more of this
Storms rise and pass on the highest of mountains
And still abundant strength she will give
A father so patient the wind quiets to listen
Gathering around the campfire
Stories told over eons bring travellers together
His words push adventure higher
A brother so honest his words bleed fierce truth
‘Til the end of days he will sing
Of tried and true, old beauty and news of the new
Deepest hope he will always bring
A sister so present the ocean’s waves do not deter
Joy rises above their bold clamour
Wisdom in silence, words only when they will shine
A life given to steadfast honour
Strong family is held together by many things
Not least of these the ties of blood
Time together and apart grows these bonds stronger still
Give to those who mean most, plentiful love.
